DATA POLICY
AeroTarget Service
A Service of UberID, LLC
Version 1.0
1. Introduction and Scope
This Data Policy describes how UberID, LLC ("UberID," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, shares, and otherwise processes personal information in connection with the AeroTarget service (the "Services") and related websites, support channels, and communications. AeroTarget.ai is a service offered by UberID; it is not a separate legal entity.
This Policy applies to personal information we process about individuals who visit our websites, create or use accounts, interact with support, or otherwise engage with the Services. It does not apply to Company Data (processed aviation registration and related datasets made available through the Services), which is governed by the Terms of Service and is not personal information of users.
This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.
We are committed to handling personal information responsibly and in accordance with applicable privacy laws, including the GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and similar frameworks where they apply.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of personal information:
- Identity and Account Data — name, username, job title, organization name, and similar identifiers associated with an account.
- Contact Data — email address, phone number, billing or mailing address.
- Technical and Usage Data — IP address, browser type and version, device information, pages viewed, features used, timestamps, referring URLs, and similar log data generated when you interact with the Services.
- Payment and Billing Data — limited payment-related information necessary to process subscriptions (handled primarily by our payment processor; we do not store full payment-card numbers).
- Communications Data — content of support requests, feedback, email correspondence, and similar interactions.
- Marketing and Preference Data — communication preferences and, where applicable, records of consent for marketing.
We also generate and use aggregated or de-identified data that does not identify any individual. Business contact information is treated as personal information only when it is combined with other identifying details in a way that makes it personal under applicable law.
We do not knowingly collect precise geolocation data, biometric data, or other categories of sensitive personal information beyond what is strictly necessary for account security and service delivery.
3. How We Collect Information
We collect personal information through:
- Direct interactions — when you create an account, complete an order, contact support, request information, or otherwise communicate with us.
- Automated means — cookies, server logs, and similar technologies that record technical and usage data as you use the Services.
- Service providers — payment processors, analytics providers, and other vendors who process information on our behalf in connection with the Services.
- Public and government sources — publicly available information (for example, certain business or regulatory records) used only as permitted by law and for legitimate purposes such as account verification or service accuracy.
You are responsible for ensuring that any personal information you provide is accurate and up to date. If required information is not provided, we may be unable to create an account, process a subscription, or deliver certain features of the Services.
4. How and Why We Use Information
We use personal information only as permitted by law. The main purposes are:
- To provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services and to fulfill our contract with you.
- To create and manage accounts, process payments, and send transactional communications (including invoices, which identify UberID or UberID, LLC).
- To respond to inquiries, provide support, and communicate about the Services.
- To detect, prevent, and investigate security incidents, fraud, and violations of the Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy.
- To analyze usage patterns and improve the performance, usability, and features of the Services.
- To send marketing or product communications where you have consented or where otherwise permitted by law (you may opt out at any time).
- To comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, and protect our rights and the rights of others.
Legal bases (where required, including under the GDPR) include: performance of a contract; legitimate interests (for example, service improvement, security, and fraud prevention, balanced against your rights); consent (where we rely on it); and compliance with legal obligations.
We do not use personal information to train or improve third-party generative artificial-intelligence models.
5. How We Share Information
We may share personal information in the following circumstances:
- Service providers and processors — vendors who help us operate the Services (for example, hosting, payment processing, analytics, email delivery, and customer support tools), under contractual obligations to protect the information and use it only for the purposes we specify.
- Legal and safety reasons — when required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of UberID, our users, or others.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
- Affiliates — with entities under common control with UberID, for purposes consistent with this Policy.
- With your direction or consent — when you instruct us to share information or when you have otherwise consented.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in a manner that constitutes a "sale" or "sharing" under the CCPA/CPRA, except as described in any applicable cookie or advertising notice.
6. Cookies, Analytics, and Tracking Technologies
We and certain service providers use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember preferences, analyze usage, and (where permitted) support advertising or marketing. You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where available, through consent tools we provide. Disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Services.
Details of specific cookies and third-party analytics tools may be described in a separate cookie notice available on the website.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including to satisfy legal, accounting, tax, or reporting requirements, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary by category of data and context. When personal information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. Anonymized data may be retained indefinitely for statistical and improvement purposes.
8. Security
We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure. Access is limited to personnel and service providers who have a legitimate need to know and who are bound by confidentiality obligations. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International Transfers
Personal information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where UberID or its service providers operate. When we transfer personal information from the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions that restrict transfers, we use appropriate safeguards, which may include Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions, or other mechanisms permitted by applicable law.
10. Children's Privacy
The Services are intended for business and professional use and are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a person under 18, we will take steps to delete it and, where appropriate, suspend the associated account. If you believe we may have information about a minor, please contact us using the details below.
11. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights regarding your personal information. These may include the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of personal information
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Request portability of certain data
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Opt out of certain sharing or marketing communications
The availability and scope of these rights vary by jurisdiction. We will respond to requests in accordance with applicable law and may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Some rights are subject to exceptions (for example, when we must retain information for legal or contractual reasons).
To exercise rights, contact us using the details in the "Contact Us" section. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority in your jurisdiction.
12. Third-Party Links and Services
The Services may contain links to third-party websites, services, or platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing personal information. Community or support tools hosted on third-party platforms are also subject to those platforms' own terms and privacy policies.
13. Changes to This Data Policy
We may update this Data Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or the Services. We will post the updated Policy on this page and update the "Last Updated" date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice as appropriate (for example, by email or in-product notice). Continued use of the Services after the effective date of a revised Policy constitutes acceptance of the changes, to the extent permitted by law.
